Every year, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)’s School of Design holds an Annual show featuring students’ works. This year, the school recognized that design is no longer a “one-way street” and that the underlying theme for the show would be “Response”. This was chosen to emphasize communication and interaction in the making of good design. I have compiled a short list of a couple of my favourites from the show.

The Maldives government has signed an agreement with Maldives Dhoni Services regarding the opening of a transport network in the South Central Province of the country, the first step in the government’s project to provide a nationwide transport network. It includes colonized islands Thaa and Laamu Atoll and seven industrial islands.

Thanks to United States know how, investment dollars, and the US middle class buying hundreds of billions of dollars a year that China produces, China has become the third largest nation in terms of GDP in the world; so, what is it that China is doing with all this money? Well several things actually, including building up their military, and buying resources, raw materials and oil from other nations; often, nations that are enemies of the United States, or have been quite hostile to us. China has been making deals to buy resources and oil from Iran and Venezuela…

More and more school campus’ are being filled to the brim as hundreds of new eager students prepare for another year of school. The government begins taking action to prevent overcrowding at universities.

India has blocked Pakistani water from the top three rivers due to which Pakistan is facing a huge water shortage. The situation is worsening and within two years when there will be no water for Pakistani agriculture and electricity than there is a huge chance of a Pakistan-India nuclear war.

DNA tagging for suspects felons has become the efficient tool and means of identifying or establishing the perpetration of a crime. DNA profiles of samples have to be removed and destroyed for those that belong to people suspected of crime but were either acquitted or never tried.
